CHARTS is here to help artists of many genres turn their talents into funds to benefit local children's charities.  We raise funds through the sale of artwork for the charities who keep our children safe and

well and help them to succeed right here in Spokane County.

CHARTS serves as an on-line directory and fundraising facilitator to artists, art galleries and contributors

of all types.

We are currently a bare bones volunteer group whose every aspect of operation is dependent

on individual contributions of time, talents, artwork, art gallery space and supplies.

Whatever your contribution, big or small, you do make a difference, and we want everybody

to know you are doing what you can to make this world a better place. If you have a talent,

supplies, time or gallery space to show art, please donate, please join us, we want to highlight

your skills and encourage the support of artists and art enthusiasts for the children in our community!

Currently the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery is our sole benefactor of funds.  We are honored to work with this fantastic charity who is dedicated to keeping our children safe and loved.

We realize It's important to know where your contributions go, so to create clarity; all payments are made directly to Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery through a special page set up for CHARTS contributors.

Currently, one hundred percent of all funds raised through the sale of artwork goes directly to the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery.  As CHARTS grows we will add more charities to our list, though we will focus our energies to be sure our contributions will make a difference for each charity we add.

If you are a charity who helps the children of Spokane to be safe, well or to succeed, we'd like to hear from you.  We want to do all we can to support your cause.

Vision and Services

The Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery helps parents who are having difficulty providing safe shelter and care for their children. They may be dealing with issues as complex as substance abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. Or, they may just be exhausted and worn-out from the demands of parenting.  VBCN provides respite care (from a few hours up to 3 days) for children newborn to age six.

The Crisis Nursery was founded in 1987 in memory of Vanessa Kay Behan, a Spokane girl who died from child abuse related injuries at the age of two. For 30 years, our doors have remained open 24/7 with the intent of preventing Vanessa’s story from ever happening again. Since 1987, we have provided over 1.26 million hours of care to more than 91,143 little ones.

This impact is 100% funded by the support and generosity of committed champions who believe that keeping kids safe and strengthening families results in a more vibrant community for everyone.  For more information about our services visit
